A Project Group is a basic organisational unit within Felix which helps you group and organise your RFQs, as well as manage your staff's access to them.

It is easy to think of a project group as a folder for RFQs. For example, you may wish to organise your RFQs into project groups based on the staff members who collaborate on them, or the locations the projects are taking place.

Project groups can be made visible to only the creator, to a specific list of teams or staff users, or to every organisation user.

An organisation user can belong to multiple project groups simultaneously.

How to access project groups

To access project groups, simply navigate to Projects & Quotes > Project Groups from your Felix dashboard. You will be directed to the Project Groups page where you will be able to see information such as the Project Group ID, Name, Creation Date, Creator and the Number of RFQs related to the project group.

Understanding project group permissions

When a project group is created, the creator is able to set viewing and editing permissions for the group. Each permission is outlined below:

Permission TypeDescription
ViewCan view RFQs within the project group, including vendor quotes.

Cannot modify RFQ properties (e.g. Updating open/close dates, inviting new vendors or allowing quote updates.)
EditCan view RFQs within the project group, including vendor quotes.

CreatorAccessible to only the Creator of the project group.
Team / Staff UsersAccessible to only the chosen teams or staff users.
Every UserAccessible to all organisation users.
